Description
This CESA 9 service provides teachers with the knowledge and skills to successfully address the math learning needs of preschool and elementary students. Professional learning opportunities and coaching are customized to fit the needs of classroom teachers, special education teachers, math interventionists, coaches, and coordinators and could include:

Customized professional learning strategies focused on:

Implementing Wisconsin Mathematical Content and Practice Standards

Developing understanding of math learning trajectories

Building number sense and foundational math skills

Developing and implementing a strategic assessment system in math

Engaging families in their child’s math learning

Consultation and/or facilitation for schools engaged in standards alignment and/or the instructional materials selection process

Consultation in designing and implementing math interventions and continuous support within an Equitable Multi-Level System of Support (EMLSS)

Coaching for new and existing math teachers

Facilitation of system-wide assessments and data digs to determine your school’s strengths and needs for math instruction
