School Social Worker

Description

This program provides direct services by a school social worker to children and their families. 

Services include:

• Supportive, problem-solving, action-oriented role with families
• Consultation with families, in-home when appropriate
• Facilitated support between school administration, educators, families, and students
• Coordination of referrals and interagency activities
• Participation in building consultation team meetings and IEP team meetings
• Assist in professional development planning and family information programs with regard to children’s mental health
