Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Description

An Early Childhood Special Education Teacher provides appropriate assessment of an early childhood student’s special education needs and then develops and implements an intervention plan to meet those needs. Services include:

• Assessment of 3-5-year-old children with suspected disabilities and children currently enrolled in the early childhood special education program
• Timely and comprehensive written reports based on the assessment
• Participation in the IEP team process, as assigned
• Provision of direct services to children placed in the early childhood special education program
• Maintenance/improvement of assessment and instructional skills
