Description
CESA 9 is prepared to make the challenging work of finding a new superintendent easier. With a variety of options available, school boards can customize their search to be cost-effective, without sacrificing the quality or attention to detail that the school board and its community deserve.
Services include:
- Meeting with the school board to gain an understanding of the current state of the school district and seek input on key points desired in the position posting
- Drafting position announcement and posting for the district to advertise on job sites and social media
- Providing the initial interview protocol and revising it based on school board feedback
- Supporting the school board's development of interview team(s)
- Supplying a menu of interview questions and seeking additional questions from the board
- With board input, developing initial and final interview question lists
- Screening applicants and bringing a slate of initial candidates to the board
- Arranging and being in attendance for initial interviews. Facilitating board discussion to select finalists
- Completing a comprehensive background check on the board-selected finalists
- Arranging and being in attendance for finalist interviews
- Providing two hours of superintendent transition and/or board governance support.
