Description
This service will allow a district to design a service contract with a job description and the number of contract service days to meet their individual needs. Services include:
- In cooperation with the school district medical advisor and district personnel, coordinate and conduct an annual review of the school district emergency nursing services plan and propose any modifications to the plan to district administration. The contents of the plan will be in accordance with Wisconsin Education Standard (g) emergency nursing services.
- Monitor the implementation of the emergency nursing services plan.
- Conduct informational meetings for all school district personnel (including substitute teachers) on the district health care policies and procedures handbook.
- Provide and coordinate with outside agencies standard first aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation training for school district staff members.
- Serve as a consultant for school district staff members on health issues.
- Provide direct teaching and consultation to students with identified health problems and to their parents, as needed.
- Provide consultative and coordination services to assure school district compliance with the state and local immunization and student medication requirements.
- Provide other health related services assigned by the administration.
