Description
Autism Support Services staff provide diagnostic assessment, program planning, research, and consultation in support of meeting the learning, processing, and behavioral needs of students identified or suspected with the educational impairment of autism. Services include:
- Individualized Education Planning team activities, including evaluation.
- Direct services to or on behalf of children with autism, or their parents.
- Consultation services with participating district staff and administrators.
- Data collection for instructional strategy development (Functional Behavioral Analysis, etc.).
- Trainings for staff and others regarding known effective instructional, program, and system strategies.
- Maintenance/improvement of appropriate professional impact on students, parents, and other employees.
- Consistently operate in a professional manner regarding district policies and state/federal rules and regulations.
