The Wisconsin Information System for Education (WISE) is a suite of integrated tools used statewide to generate student IDs and collect required district, school, state, and federal data. These systems ensure accurate reporting, maintain high standards of data quality and privacy, and provide critical information for educational research and decision-making across Wisconsin.

Description

WISE includes multiple platforms that support data collection, validation, reporting, and analysis. These tools not only fulfill mandatory state and federal reporting requirements but also power dashboards and reporting features that help districts better understand trends, monitor progress, and improve educational outcomes. Each system is built on rigorous data security and privacy standards to ensure the protection of student and staff information.

In partnership with the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), CESA 9 provides districts with technical assistance and training to help them confidently navigate the WISE ecosystem. Support includes reduced-cost training, troubleshooting, data submission guidance, and help interpreting reporting requirements. Districts may also access customized fee-for-service support for more complex or ongoing WISE needs.
