Description
A DHH Program Support Teacher provides assessment of students suspected with, or currently diagnosed with DHH educational impairment and special education needs then develops and implements an intervention plan to meet those needs. Services include:
- Assessment of children suspected or currently diagnosed with DHH.
- Timely and comprehensive written reports based on the assessment.
- Participation in the IEP team process, as assigned.
- Provision of direct services to children with DHH impairment.
- Completion of local, state, and federal reports as requested.
- Participation in conferences with parents, teachers and administrative personnel as requested.
- Provide liaison case management services, if requested, for students placed at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, Wisconsin.
- Maintenance/improvement of assessment and instructional skills.
- Effective communication with students, staff, parents, and administration.
