Volunteer Opportunity: Help Select the 2026 Herb Kohl Scholarship Recipients
We’re seeking dedicated volunteers to help score scholarship applications for the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher Fellowship and Principal Leadership Awards. This important work is done entirely online, at your own pace, anytime between January 8, 2026, and February 8, 2026.
Each year, 100 teachers and 100 principals are recognized by the Herb Kohl Foundation for their excellence and leadership, receiving grants that not only support their own professional growth but also provide matching funds to their schools.
The Kohl Teacher Fellowship Program honors teaching excellence and innovation across Wisconsin. Fellowship recipients, along with their schools, each receive a $6,000 grant to pursue meaningful classroom projects or professional development goals.
The Kohl Principal Leadership Award recognizes outstanding school administrators who inspire and guide their communities. Awardees and their schools also each receive a $6,000 grant to support their vision for growth and improvement.
